G-Shock

After growing tired of the slowness of my Apple Watch Series 2, I decided to eBay that thing and just get a big, sturdy, cool-looking watch. So I picked up a G-Shock GA 100-1A1 Military Series to wear pretty much all the time.

Don’t get me wrong, there’s a lot to like about the Apple Watch. Wrist notifications, fitness tracking, standing reminders, GPS, wrist-activated Siri, reminders … the list goes on. I just can’t deal with the slowness anymore. If it gets to the point where everything is instant and the battery life is way better, like in one or two more iterations, I’ll pick up another one.

Until then, hooah. This thing is big, thick, easy to read, feature-rich, water resistant to 20bar, and shock resistant. And the battery won’t die in 18 hours!

Now if I had my druthers, I’ve got my eye on the super-smooth GMWB5000-1. Now that’s a gorgeous watch. Stainless steel, atomic timekeeping, and solar powered. Drooool.
